Young Animal Lover Writes Book, Donates Profits to AWA

At an age when most children are just beginning to discover the pleasures of reading a book, Kinley Freeman has written one.

Called "The Amazing Gift", the book tells the story of a girl who has a special relationship and fantastic adventures with her horse.

Kinley's aunt, Sherri Holbert, helped her with the technical aspects of publishing the book, which is just out in paperback.

Kinley asked her vet, Dr. Beverly Hargus, if she knew of an animal organization that would like to share in the books profits. Dr. Hargus suggested the Animal Welfare Alliance. We are flattered and proud to be part of this young author's altruistic effort!

Kinley’s book can be purchased at:
·         The Open Door in the Blue Ridge Mall
·         Animals R Us,  725 Crest Road, Flat Rock

Books are $8.00 each.
